An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nursing Assistant to join our family of Care Homes. As a Nursing Assistant, you’ll support the Registered Nurses to look after the physical, psychological and social needs of the individuals to help us deliver the quality of care the individuals deserve. You will create a safe and supportive environment for the individuals we acre for with a range of physical and mental needs, whilst also liaising and supporting qualified Nurses when making critical clinical decisions. You can expect a wide range of responsibilities such as developing care plans (for those in residential care) and administering medication safely whilst delivering excellence across everything you do.
Whilst ensuring you support individuals with their needs, it is important that you lead a team to help support individuals achieve positive wellbeing outcomes that are meaningful to them.
A full Nursing Assistant Competency Framework will be offered and will include the following:
· Three day intense Medication Training
· Venepuncture Training
· Catheterisation Training
· PEG Training…. And more
Requirements for becoming a Nursing Assistant*:
QCF Level 3 qualification (or working towards)
Good communication skills
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Computer literacy skills
A proven record in care of the elderly
An understanding and adherence to Caron Group’s ethos
Aged 18 or above.
Due to the nature of the clients we care for and their complex needs, we need to ensure that we are safeguarding minors and reducing their exposure to potentially challenging situations. The employment of individuals aged 16 and 17 is therefore not permitted for any roles within the group requiring delivery of direct personal care.
