The Marches Careers Hub, Powered by The UK Careers Fair are hosting a virtual careers fair on the 8th July, to enhance the academic years careers provision within schools, colleges and alternative provisions.
Covid-19 has greatly impacted careers education and the interactions and experiences young people have been able to have.
This virtual careers fair will provide the opportunity, for the young people of The Marches to interact and engage with employers, colleges, training providers and universities from their local labour market. Young people will gain an insight into local opportunities, whilst developing knowledge of pathways and key sectors to aid with the transition.
The Virtual Careers Fair will allow schools, colleges and alternative provisions to meet the following Gatsby benchmarks:
· Benchmark 2: Learning from Career and Labour Market Information
· Benchmark 3: Addressing the needs of each student
· Benchmark 4: Linking curriculum learning to careers
· Benchmark 5: Encounters with employers and employees
· Benchmark 7: Encounters with Further and Higher Education provide
