YOUR EXPERIENCE: You must be minimum Level 3 qualified in early years and have at least 1-year experience in a supervisory role within an early years setting. Successful candidates must be confident in managing others and in leading the day to day running of the room when the leader is absent from the room. You must have the ability to communicate with the children, colleagues, parents and other staff members to an exceptionally high standard and able to deliver clear objectives and have a forward thinking pro-active attitude towards work. In addition, you must be fully committed to the setting with an excellent work ethic and show a genuine passion for your chosen career in childcare. Job Role: · Work together, whilst leading the team to ensure good practice at all times. · Contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children · Implement the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and any other legal/statutory frameworks. · Be responsible for the welfare of all children in your designated room and support with the room’s organisation, ensuring consistent, high-quality care. · Work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain ratios in your room. Where required it may be necessary to cover in other rooms. · Support and contribute to the planning and the provision of a stimulating range of age appropriate activities, ensuring that your room is well-resourced and creatively set-up. · Observe and assess children’s learning and development ensuring records are kept up to-date, are of a high standard and are shared effectively. · Develop genuine bonds with your key children and support and monitor colleagues to sensitively fulfil their key person responsibilities. · Work in partnership with all parents/carers, building and maintaining relationships that encourage trust, open communication and involvement in nursery life. · Respect and value all colleagues, children and parents and encourage a positive and diverse working environment. · Cooperate and work effectively with the management team.
