JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Technical Sales Development Manager RESPONSIBLE To: Sales Manager UK – Power and Service BASIC PURPOSE: . To sell/market the company’s products and services within the Industrial, marine and Oil & Gas markets covering all of the UK. MAIN DUTIES: (not listed in order of priority) • To increase company turnover and maintain agreed profit margins through sales to existing customers and the generation of new sales opportunities by contacting and visiting new prospects. • To adhere to defined objectives as detailed in the company strategy document. • Searching for new clients who might benefit from total oil management services and maximising client potential in designated regions; • Developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements; • Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs; Calculating client quotations and managing client accounts; • providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services; • Analysing costs and sales; • Preparing reports for management. • Meeting regular sales targets and coordinating sales projects; • Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events; • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs; • Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts; MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • The setting of sales budgets and achievements of targets on a 6 monthly basis.
