Today, The UK Careers Fair will be helping to power a unique opportunity for Year 11 students to meet Cumbrian employers, sixth forms, further and higher education representatives along with apprenticeship and training providers.
The Our Future Virtual Careers Fair will be held online Wednesday, October 20 between 1.30 pm-6.30 pm, and is aimed at Year 11 students to help them make informed choices about their future careers and their next steps.
By attending the event, students are able to visit interactive booths to hear from and speak with leading employers in Cumbria; gain industry insights from an exciting agenda of panel discussions, and discover the various career pathways available to enter the world of work.
The event is being organised by Inspira in partnership with Hello Future and Cumbria Careers Hub and powered by The UK Careers Fair.
Logan Lawson, Operations Manager at The UK Careers Fair comments: The team and I are very excited to be partnering with Inspira to deliver a virtual platform that enables young people to access materials, speak with representatives from 70+ organisations and help them develop and make great career choices!"
The “Our Future Virtual Careers Fair” will consist of five main zones: The Main Lobby is where students, parents and carers can access impartial careers information, advice and guidance. Within the Apprenticeship and Training Providers zone, there will be opportunities to meet local apprenticeship and skills training providers such as RWP, Gen 2 and System People.
